TASK Farms is located in Leona Valley, CA. sixty miles north of Los Angeles,

just west of Palmdale.  At 3300 ft. elevation, this modern ten acre facility is 

nested among gentle rolling hills, horse ranches, and elegant cherry orchards

 creating a scenic and serene place in which to embrace the sport of herding.    

                                                                      TASK Farms  prides itself in being one of Southern

                                                       California’s  premier sheep herding, trialing/training 

                                                       facilities with four arenas adaptable to AKC, AHBA,

                                                       or ASCA sanctions. The 255' x 200'  main arena 

                                                       features a twelve-foot center gate and two eight-foot 

                                                       side gates ideal for set out/exhaust of cattle, sheep 

                                                       and goat trials.   

An adjacent 235' x 125' sheep arena allows for two trials to be held simultaneously. 

These two arenas are serviced by sixteen sheep & six cattle pens. A separate 200' x 100' 

arena (ideal for AKC PT, AHBA or ASCA courses) features an additional five stock pens. 

The versatile 100' x 100' arena is easily adaptable for sheep or duck courses. 

This arena is serviced by ten duck pens and five sheep pens which also facilitate the

sixty foot round pen perfect for instinct testing.

An adjacent eight acres is available for open field trials.    

These arenas allow TASK Farms to be a turn-key operation so that herding club members 

can enjoy trialing rather than course setting. TASK Farms can even provide personnel for 

stock setting. Abundant parking for autos plus water hook-ups for RV's make this an 

ideal location for a fun-filled weekend .   

We also offer sheep herding lessons, sheep/goat rental as well as horse boarding.

Other services include natural weed abatement and stock rental for movies and commercials.
